I get in touch with you to ask for your help with a problem I have with the plugin.

I have enabled in the hosting that I have hired a sandbox to do tests before publishing my web page.

The problem I have is that I fill in the forms and when I send the form, it does not reach the email address I have indicated on the form.

The page appears stating that the form has been sent successfully but that mail is not sent.

The other functions that WordPress uses to send emails, for example, create a new user, work perfectly.

Please resave your the global settings (this should make the notices go away) and your form’s settings.

You use Windows to run your WordPress installation, which is uncommon. What mail server do you run?

I suggest to use WP Mail SMTP plugin if your sending address has a login on a mail server. You do not need a local mail server for that.

I will try to use the plugin that you have told me.

My operating system is Windows 10 Pro and I use the xampp to have the website and use the Mercury plugin that comes in the Xampp.

But I have my website in a test system in a real hosting and even using that server I have the same problem.

Do you get any PHP errors on the “real hosting”?

Did WP Mail SMTP with external SMTP settings work for you?

    @bgermann Sorry for the delay.

In the real server I do not receive any error message, when I send the form, the message appears saying that it was sent successfully and the mail does not arrive.

Yes, it is well configured since I can send emails with other plugins and from the WordPress administrator panel itself.

Could you please post the debug output found at cformsII’s global settings top menu? You should redact your email addresses, but check that the sender address is the one that you expect.

If you post here, please use the code tags.

I’m sorry, I can not understand what he wants me to copy.

What parts do you understand? Do you know what the cformsII’s Global Settings page is?

    (@bgermann)

Then do you see the top menu at the WordPress Dashboard that has the cformsII logo on it saying “cforms Admin”?

This menu has an entry “Produce debug output”. If you click on it you will see a textarea with a lot of structured information in it. That is the thing.

@bgermann I can send mails. I think it was by removing the “Turn off admin email” option

But now I would like the data to arrive in a .CSV file

    How could I do?

You cannot do this via email without programming. You can however use https://cfdbplugin.com to save the submissions in the database and export it as CSV from there.

Would you please tell me what you changed to make email sending work?

First of all, in order to get the form data by email in a .csv file, do I have to program it?

The solution was, after uploading the files to a sandbox on a real server, I upgraded the plugin to the latest version, as I have been indicated by these forums, then I went over the configuration of the program and the WordPress files (wp_mail .php). I think the reason was that I had deactivated using the administrator’s email, since by activating that function, the messages began to arrive.

    (@bgermann)

Okay. I thought it would be obvious to activate mail sending to actually send mail.

Yes, you would have to program CSV mails or make someone do it (probably by paying that person). I do not think this is a good solution, therefore you should go and follow my advise. If you cannot figure out how to deal with CFDB, please ask at their forum.

@bgermann Thank you very much for your time and patience in solving my topic, I am new to the WordPress world and there are still things that escape me. For example, I focused on the fact that the problem was in the configuration that I let slip the most simple.

    A greeting.

@bgermann Sorry to ask you again. The type of programming that is needed to make the plugin is a type of programming in HTML?

    Thank you
