• I have installed the theme vivre because I like the nice bold headline font (work-sans) in the screenshot. Unfortunately I can’t select this font face in the theme for posts and pages headlines.
How can I select this font face?
I have not seen this font face in the fonts folder. I develop on local wp.
    Thanks for your help

  • Hi there,

The fact that you have this issue on a specific computer definitely points at a hardware issue, and that is much tougher for us to address of course.

It’s interesting that you mention that this issue started happening around the time that you installed the work-sans font locally on your computer. I’m not sure exactly how that would create a conflict but one thing you may want to try is to rename the font (in your system) to see if that helps at all.

I’m more familiar with MacOS and it sounds like you may be on a Windows PC, but this guide may help: https://theserif.net/fonts/rename-a-font/

    Hope that helps!

@jerrysarcastic Thanks for your valuable tip. I will try this. It’s really a strange behavior with this font conflict on a pc. I have never encountered such a problem.

I am having the same issue. Fresh install.

The font looks as expected within the Editor but when viewed on the live site, it is not the same font.

Interesting. On my side even in the editor the font was wrong. I deinstalled the font from the pc then the correct font was loaded in the browser and in the editor. But this is not a satisfactory solution.
    Fresh install of what?

    Hello @val,

Is this happening on all browsers being used?

Also out of curiosity, are there any browser extensions being used? The reason why I ask is because this seemed to work in a private/incognito browser – which, wouldn’t necessarily be active via a private browser, so I suspect that this may be a common denominator at this point in thread.

    1. This is happening on all browsers.
    2. This is a fresh WordPress install with the latest Gutenberg plugin.

    Hello Val,

Many thanks for that additional information.

Are you able to provide a screenshot via a link from https://snipboard.io/ to show what you’re seeing in the editor versus what you’re seeing on the live site please?

    Many thanks Val!

Interesting – ok, what is the URL of that site? I’d like to take a closer look at that. ??

Adam, I moved on to another Theme. I’ll set up up a test of Vivre later today and report back.

    Adam,

I have to conclude that I must have done something to cause the font to not appear “as advertised” because I installed the Vivre Theme on a fresh WordPress install, on a different managed WordPress host, and the fonts appear as expected.

    Thank you for helping!

Interesting and thank you for the update.

Out of curiosity who is the old host and who is the new host?
