I can't run on Lion Server!

You’ll need to install mysql from the binaries. Make sure you choose the 64-bit DMG binary it should be the simplest way to go. I haven’t upgraded my server yet but this is what I’ve read so far.

I’ve done that, and I can connect to the database via the mysql command line and see all my posts. No connection via the web works though.

Don’t know if that will fix your problem but do let me know. The Apple Forums are full of people saying they’ve got it working and those that don’t.
