I can’t put external links in the “social” option anymore. Why? Help.

    Today I had a very unpleasant surprise when opening the “social” option of Yoast Seo and find that I could no longer use external links of images to change the featured image of Facebook.

    Unfortunately I do not have how to host in my own server such images since the availability of space I have is small, making it necessary to use external services to store the images apart.

    Basically, the stripe where I put the links of the images becomes dark, and I can not paste anything inside it..

    And now, what do I do?

    Guys, I really need help on this. I can no longer add images via external link in the social part.

    Any solution? Please.

    Hi @weslleysim,

    It’s no longer possible to manually enter an URL in that field. However, you could still use external images for social tags if you use a plugin which allows external media files. For example, this plugin allows adding external files to your Media, without importing them. These external media files can be used with Yoast SEO.
