I Can't properly view my posts.
-
I am new to WP and to making and maintaining websites in general, but I have managed to fine a decent theme that I’ve figured how to work with and made a decent Home page, but now I can’t seem to figure out how to view any of my posts. Yes, I set my home page to static becasue I didn’t want my posts flooding up the front page. But now it just seems like I can’t view my posts at all. I’ve made a Blog page and I have one “Test” post I am trying to work with.
First I tried to view my post while editing it by clicking the view button. It took me to my blog page (which I have no idea how it knew to do that) but my blog page was completely blank.
Next I added a widget for Recent Posts on my blog page and it showed the title of my “Test” post and the date it was posted. The title looked like it was linked but the link took me to the blog page I was already on…so that didn’t get me anywhere.
Then I read to go to settings and in readings change the post page. So I set it to my blog page and now when I go to my blog page, aye indeed my posts is there, sorta. A preview of it is there at least. But I guess change the blog page to my postings page override all the changes I could make while editing the page and completely dissolves visual editor. I’m stuck with this hideous blank page with my Test post right smack in the middle of it with no real way to edit it. I found that if I customize the page I can put a background to it, but I can’t do much else without messing up my home page. Not to mention the “read More” Link at the end of the post preview is just like the Test title link, it sends me to my blog page and so I don’t go anywhere.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
Do I have to create an entire page for every separate post I make in order for the post to bee read individually?
Please help!
