I can't insert images into my posts

  • I was able to upload photos to my blog, however now when I click insert media, select the photos I want and then click “Insert Into Post”, nothing happens!

    I even reinstalled WordPress from scratch, erasing all of my content (I had photos saved and it was a relatively new blog, regardless!)

    What could be going on?

    I already overwrite it with a new installation. Nothing. The other two blogs I have on that host. Nothing.

    Installed fresh in a different directory. Nothing.

    Can you check the user and the group in the images and the user and the group your web server uses?

    I’ll try to figure out how to see that…

    I just discovered that using Sucuri Security plugin’s hardening setting for the wp-content directory prevents insertion of anything into a post — an image, a form, a download… Disabling that feature made all the inserts work again.
