I can’t get to the install page… 404 Error – Not Found

    Hi, I’m trying to install wordpress on

    https://www.thefactorymoviestudio.com/

    Now it’s not my first installation and I transferred old blogs and installed new wordpress blogs (www.j-blockbuster.com & https://www.kinksthemovie.com) without any problem. I tried to transfer a blog to thefactorymoviestudio.com, but no success.

    I created a new db, copied all files new into the root folder after deleting everything, but no success. None of the php files opens, they just lead to 404 Error – Not Found

    Double checked the wp-config.php settings several times but can’t figure out what’s wrong. The phpMyAdmin looks ok for the db…

    Please help! What could be wrong? Thanks! ??

  • I’m having awful problems with it. I was a computer programmer and systems analyst for years… I give up! Truly – I just give up. This “5 minute installation” is… well… you know.

    I’m going to look elsewhere. Sad.

    I found the problem! (Actually the hosting provider found it for me) – I copied my old cgi-bin folder from the different hosting provider and overwrote the existing one. Then, frustrated I just deleted it all (including the cgi-bin folder).

    That was the problem. The hosting company copied it back, it works now.
