    Hi @michaelgs,

Looking at the links you’ve provided, it seems like there might be an issue with the way your downloadable products are set up. To resolve this, please follow the steps outlined here: https://woo.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/#downloadable-simple-products

If you have created your downloadable product correctly but are still having the issue, please head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear
    • Product lookup tables – Regenerate
    • Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate

Also, go to Settings > Permalinks and click on the “Save change” button without changing anything.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Good evening,

Thank you so much for your reply, it was very helpful.

The problem was that I used the new product form. When I did a test manually adding one product I switched to the old add product form and that one downloads perfectly fine.
I do not know if I can fix those products that I already had uploaded. There is one field Download Files : Names
the manual file I gave it a name , but those which already had been uploaded all have the word “view” in this field. How can I fix that or should I just delete the 38 products and start over?

alltogether I will have to upload around 2500 products, via .csv shoul I add a column “Download Files : Names” into the .csv and what exactly does WooCommerce expect in there?

    *********

When I click go to cart woocommerce opens this page: https://magicalduck.com/cart-2/ instead of this page https://magicalduck.com/cart/ How do I fix that? once I correct the link in the address bar everything works fine again, Can I just delete the page that has the wrong link?

    Hi there @michaelgs ??

Thank you for reaching back, clarifying things further.

I can’t get “download Files” on Digital files working

As a first step, I’d recommend adjusting the current settings for downloadable files, like so (as cloud storage is utilized).

Next, feel free to check out the documentation section linked here, about what happens if a downloadable product’s files are edited after customers have made purchases.

How can I fix that or should I just delete the 38 products and start over?

The answer to this can be found in the last link shared above.

alltogether I will have to upload around 2500 products, via .csv shoul I add a column “Download Files : Names” into the .csv and what exactly does WooCommerce expect in there?

That’d be the “Download n URL”, where n stands for as many downloadable files per product there are (1,2,3…).

Further details on bulk importing and exporting can be found in the document linked here.

When I click go to cart woocommerce opens this page:?https://magicalduck.com/cart-2/?instead of this page?https://magicalduck.com/cart/?How do I fix that?

Feel free to tell WooCommerce what pages to use, as detailed here.

Can I just delete the page that has the wrong link?

Sure. The extra page can be safely deleted, if there is no further use for it.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.
