• I have a page called ‘About Us.’

    When I click the link, the address shown in the browser is https://websitename.com/about-us/

    But when I search ALL my files in cPanel File Manager, nothing is found.

    What I’m really trying to do is duplicate the page and save it with a new name.

    Where is it hiding? Why is it hiding ??

    Thanks – rev

  • Your pages are stored in your database – not within files.

    So how would I duplicate a page?

    I like the layout of the About Us page and I’d like to use it as the Home page, with a new name of course.

    How would I do that?

    Just publish a new page called Home and assign it as your static front page.

    Would that new page replace the one called homepage.php?

    homepage.php is a custom template that the theme’s developer had included as a suggested template/layout for a static front page. You do not have to use it if you don’t want to.

    Understood. But I don’t understand any code so I don’t know how to assign the new page as the home page. I’m afraid to paste code from A to B in case I disable more pages or screw something up.

    I tried what you suggested yesterday.

    * Create new page called Home
    * View Page (OK)

    But when I click Home I get ‘Ooops not found’ because I don’t know how to associate the new page with the Home tab.
