As soon as I click Activate I get two errors:

Notice: Undefined property: WP_Locale::$is_rtl in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/asb251/wp-content/plugins/event-geek/core/gg-functions.php on line 37

    and

Notice: Undefined index: page in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/asb251/wp-content/plugins/event-geek/core/gg-functions.php on line 5

PHP version 5.4.4, running MAMP locally on a Mac.

Update: I created a new WordPress site and was able to activate the Event Geek plugin. Must be a conflict with another plugin.

Hi TommyBoy, those errors likely wouldn’t show up if error reporting were turned off. I will look into fixing them, but they aren’t “fatal” problems, if that makes sense. That is they “shouldn’t” prevent the plugin from working.

I thought that as well however when I try to move beyond the initial two errors, like trying to embed a calendar and add events, I get many more errors…and no calendar.

You should not spend any time on this one, you’ll be chasing phantoms. This has to be something specific to my particular WordPress site, call it site A. When I create a new WordPress site, site B, in the same environment, I can activate Event Geek with no issues. I can even add the same plugins to site B that I have on site A with no errors. Must be some kind of corruption in the WordPress installation or the data that’s causing the issue with site A.

Probably if I start with a fresh copy of WordPress and add all and data back in, it will work just fine. If I learn anything that might be helpful, I’ll post back.

    Thanks for your quick reply.
