I can't edit or create new posts on my site all of a sudden.

    Hello,

    I haven’t made a post on my site since 2015/12/06 and logged into the Admin of my site (https://www.ozarkmtnpaddlers.org) and found that when I try to create a new post, all I can do is type and save a draft of the Title for a post and am unable to select the body content (Visual or Text) portion of the post.

    Any ideas on why this would happen all of a sudden?

    I have not made any recent updates or installed any plugins. Thanks!

    Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Thirteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    WordPress 3.6 has a few publicly known security vulnerabilities too, so you might as well do that anyway.

    I deactivated the plugins with no difference, changing the theme will require me to sit and do some experimenting so that will have to wait till later. My guess is I’ll be updating the version regardless.

    Thank you Jeff for the suggestions, I will begin testing here in the next few days and update this thread as the results unfold.

    By the way, changing the theme isn’t permanent, you can have as many theme installed as you want, you don’t have to replace anything. Just switch to Twenty Thirteen, see if it has the same problem, then switch back. 1 minute max. ??

    I tried switching the themes just now and that didn’t allow me to edit my posts either. Looks like I have some work to do this weekend with updating and editing/fixing things that will change as a result of the upgrading.

    Again, I will keep this thread updated with all of the results.

    So far so good on the version update! I don’t see any further issues coming about here so I would go ahead and consider this issue resolved! Thanks again for the insight and assistance here, if there are any further issues I will just begin a new thread.
