I'm allergic to blackmail
-
So I installed the plugin and started winding my way through all of the screens, filling out all of the info and checking and verifying my pages intermittently, to see what was going on …
I started to get excited – it did seem a little bit bloated I thought, but look at how many things it was accomplishing at the same time! Facebook (yea I never use it but it’s good to have right?) (Twitter cards – oooh maybe I can find something to do with that, though I rarely have time to spend on Twitter) – (Hmm, Google Plus, I already don’t want them all up in my business but I DO appreciate all of the effort that went into this plugin, I really do) –
But what I really want is an OG that works for Pinterest – and that’s all – and it does that – soooo I was getting impressed – and then, thud….
My meta descriptions are removed – those little things that Google likes to provide as a description for my posts and pages? The meat and potatoes of my SEO? Yeah, and I have to upgrade to get them back?!
I was already almost at the point of rushing off to go pay for the upgrade – until I realized I was going be blackmailed to get back ? what I shouldn’t have lost in the first place.
So umm how bout no.
I don’t find that a good business practice guys – It’s bloated – and you want to blackmail me to pay for the upgrade? AND the upgrade is pretty costly. Seems to me you could make much more, without the blackmail and charging less. Only the naive would pay for you to do this.
bcr8tive (but don’t be a Sucka)
