I can't change the language

    I can’t change the language.

    I want to switch to German. I transferred the language files (.mo) via FTP in the directory / www/wordpress/wp-content/languages.
    I have adapted the file wp-config.php and set the entry to “define(‘WPLANG’, ‘de-DE’)”.
    Unfortunately, the language in the Dasboard is still in English.

    I have test it on my test server without problems.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Where did you get the language file from? It might not be for your version of WordPress.

    Also, is there any reason for why you’re still on WordPress 3.8.3?

    If you were on WordPress 4.1.1, you’d have a handy language picker in your site’s settings.

    Thanks, it works.
    I’ve migrated it to version 4.1.1 and changed the language in the settings.

    Sometimes, the solution is so simple. ??
