    Hello,

I have a problem with one website.
I can’t add website to Wordfence Central. The error message I get is:
“This site is managed by a different user account, can not add this site to your account.”

I guess the previous developer on the old website had a connection to Wordfence Central.

I tried to disconnect but unsuccessfully.
The message I have on the Wordfence Dashboard:
    Wordfence Central Status
Disconnected by on July 8, 2020

I have a lot of other websites but I only have a problem with this one.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello @dalibormo and thanks for reaching out to us!

Can you please try the following:

Go to your WordPress Dashboard and click Wordfence. You’ll then be on the Wordfence Dashboard on your site. Open the browser console on that page and paste the following in the console:

    WFAD.ajax('wordfence_wfcentral_disconnect', {}, function() {});

and then hit enter. You’ll see “Undefined” if done correctly
That will reset the connection. Then try to go back to Central and connect the site again.

Let me know if this works!

    Thanks!

    Hello @wfadam ,

    Thank you for your response.
I have already tried this solution but without success.

Now the date in my Wordfence Dashboard has changed, which means I ran the function in the console properly, but the problem still remains.

I tried the procedure in incognito mode but without success.

Do you have any other solution?

    Thanks!

    Hello again @dalibormo

Can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

We might be able to disconnect it for you on our end.

Let me know when you sent it!

We see this is in another user’s account and would like you to reach out to him. If Michael is fine with releasing it have him email us at billing @ wordfence . com and say it is ok. Have him include this post URL in the message so we know.

If you are unable to get in contact with him, we can open a ticket and attempt to reach out to him.

    Let me know either way!

    Thanks!

Unfortunately i don’t know the previous administrator of the website so i can’t contact him.

It would be best if you try to contact him.

This website has been completely transferred to the new hosting (domain also), and the previous administrator has nothing to do with a new redesigned website, he has no access and it is very strange that he still has Wordfence Central connected to this website.

Maybe you should consider allowing the new site administrator to disconnect the previous administrator.

    Thanks!

Can you reach out to us directly at wftest [at] wordfence [dot] com and add this forum post URL in the post body? Respond here once you have sent the email. If your email address does not have the same domain as the one you are requesting Central for please CC your contact there in the email.

I don’t own an email with an address like a domain. Only the owner has it and I am the developer and administrator who is responsible for maintenance of the website.

I have now sent an email with a forum post URL at wftest, I also created an html file containing forum post URL proof.html and placed it on the server where the website is located.

    Thanks!

Thanks for responding. I don’t need you to have an email address there. I wanted you to CC someone at the site so that they could OK the transfer. I’ll respond to the message you sent to the wftest email. Please respond here once you connect the site in your account.

I too have a problem with many sites not been able to connect to wordfence central. Some do and some don’t. I have sent you an email with diagnostic report. This is from my own website. for some history I have tried pasting this: WFAD.ajax(‘wordfence_wfcentral_disconnect’, {}, function() {}); into browser console, turning pluygin in on and off and many other things. Nothing works on 50% of my sites. Thanks

I am facing the same issue, Even I have tried the following cmd in the browser console.

    WFAD.ajax(‘wordfence_wfcentral_disconnect’, {}, function() {});

    Website URL: KayakHelp.com

Error: This site is managed by a different user account, can not add this site to your account.
