i can't access website– server 500 error

    Hi guys, I am new to wordpress and for one of my client. I created private portal for one of my client.
    tomorrow is my launching date and i wanted to migrate to actual domain. i have no idea what did i do wrong but right now my site is down and i tried all the solutions i found online. i changed my .htaccess file name, tried to disable my current theme and plugins as well. tried to increase memory also but nothing seems to work for me at this momment.
    creating whole website from scratch will kill me. any help would be appreciated.

    Internal server errors (error 500) are often caused by plugin or theme function conflicts.

    If you weren’t able to resolve the issue by either resetting your plugins and theme or renaming your .htaccess file, we may be able to help, but we’ll need a more detailed error message. Internal server errors are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you have access to your server error log, generate the error again, note the date and time, then immediately check your server error log for any errors that occurred during that time period. If you don’t have access to your server error log, ask your hosting provider to look for you.

    I use ispconfig and i do not have any how can i solve this problem.
    today i had looked into error logs and it was something like this folder not found /clients/client29/web301/web/wp-settings.php on line 21. something like this.

    That error would indicate that some of the core worpdress files have disappeared or been deleted.

    Go to Dashboard -> Updates and try re-installing the current WordPress verion

    NOTE: Make sure you have a backup

    Instead of “something like this,” I need the exact error.

    Would you please provide the exact error from your server error log?

    @shannon: I am not able to view my website or dashboard.
    how do install core files?

    Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

    Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

    Yep, those are missing core files.

This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.
