    I can’t access the admin section of my site. Request for help please

    Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Many thanks for the response. Much appreciated. Tried renaming the current themes folder from hosting account control panel. After I did that the website didn’t load at all. I have put back the theme. There is something unusual as soon as I click on ‘Home’ menu. file downloads. Previously to access admin site address /wordpress/wp-admin is what I used to do – That too doesn’t seem to work. I tried to just login WordPress just using my login/email etc. It does not seem to recognise any of them and hence today I created a new login to seek support here.Your site has updated to WordPress 5.5.3 is the last email I seem to see from 30/10/2020. Thanks

    How about the plugin folder?

    If above steps do not help resolve the issue, then try MANUALLY updating. Please read the Manual Update directions first.
