    I shared the change in diff format. To apply the patch you only should be adding this one line to the finish_output_buffering method:

    return "<!-- start_amp_buffer -->" . $response . '<!-- end_amp_buffer -->';

    Please try adding just that to the method and then share the results of accessing a AMP page.

    What I’m trying to do is determine what HTML is being captured by the AMP plugin to be processed.

    The method should be looking like this to debug:

    	/**
    	 * Finish output buffering.
    	 *
    	 * @since 0.7
    	 * @see AMP_Theme_Support::start_output_buffering()
    	 *
    	 * @param string $response Buffered Response.
    	 * @return string Processed Response.
    	 */
    	public static function finish_output_buffering( $response ) {
    		return "<!-- start_amp_buffer -->" . $response . '<!-- end_amp_buffer -->';
    	}

    That apparently is not done because I don’t see start_amp_buffer anywhere in the page output.

    @westonruter Please, I still don’t get it.

    What lines should I add it to.

    Or is there any other way to do it?

    @drinoayo I’ve created a build for you with the required patch. Please install the amp.zip linked here: https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/issues/1294#issuecomment-604636882

    Thanks very much. I’ve shared with the team and we’re trying to figure out what is going on.

    I’ve done some searching in the plugin forum and I actually found another issue from several months ago which appears to be the same issue you are experiencing.

    They were able to fix the problem by doing this:

    I think I solved the issue. I think I made mistakenly added a snippet in php.ini to enable the DOM extension (I’ve read this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44045478/how-do-i-enable-the-dom-extension-in-the-php-ini). I removed the snippet and restart Apache2 to see the plugin is working.

    Is this something your service administrator can look into?

    Please provide details about what was done to fix the problem. What specifically was the problem? Ideally we’d want to make the plugin able tom detect this scenario to prevent this from causing problems for others in the future.

    I messaged my Hosting company about your reply.

    Then I added a link to this topic and then refer them to check your reply where you made mention that

    I actually found another issue from several months ago which appears to be the same issue you are experiencing.

    Some minutes later, I was told the problem has been fixed. I don’t know exactly what was done but I believe she followed the link you provided me with.
