I cannot upload files now

    Hi, i have used wordpress in 3 different hosting and the first 2 was ok but i have registered a domain and i have now a paid hosting and i’m trying to import all my post and comments. I cannot upload any file or folder with wordpress. I have given 777 to all my uploads parent folders and uploads too and i can upload folders and files with ftp. I have made and php_info and uploads are ok. I think it might be a problem of /var of my server but my hosting doesn’t answer any question i have made 3 days ago.

    Please i need wordpress, at least to import post and comentaries with wordpress.

    Can you help me? Can i do something in mysql or wordpress to let it uploading files. Thanks a lot

  • No, WP will not help you. You either need to get with your host, or find a better one.

    Do you know if i can unlock my domain wich i bought some days ago? Have i got to tell it to my host provider? These question are because my hosting company (datacenter1) NEVER answer to my questions since 5 days ago and i’m very angry with them.

    I don’t know the particulars of your hosting plan, but you should be able to just find a new host, point your domain to the new DNS, and cancel your account with the poorly managed datacenter1.

    Try changing the upload address in Options>>Miscellaneous from /wp-content/uploads/ to the FULL directory address i.e. /home/next folder/wp-content/uploads/
