I cannot post to my blog

  • I haven’t used my blog from a long time, and I decided to “revive” it.
    I am not perfectly sure that I am logged as admin. I can log to my dashboard. I can see earlier posts, but cannot edit them or writing a new post.
    The dashboard shows on “screen options” only “activity” and “wp-news”.
    At the left side, I see only Dashboard, jetpack and profile.
    I will be very thankful for assistance.

  • Hello!
    I had this problem with an old blog recently – I contacted my hosting company and they fixed it for me by updating the php version – then I was able to use the WordPress dashboard as normal.

    I contacted my hosting company and they could not fix it for me by updating the php version Now the php is 5.6, but the WP is 3.9.3
    Any ideas please?
