  • What’s the URL of your site? In what directory did you install WordPress – for example, in the root of your site, in a sub-directory called “blog” or “wordpress” or something else?

Correct. There is no Installation.php in WordPress. Go to /wp-admin and wp-admin/install.php will show up.

Also, watch the capitalization. Some servers are case sensitive. Strange but true ??

The URL of the Sub-Directory of the site is elitecpcheatsepf.wordpress.com/wordpress but when you go to it, it says page not found! To install wordpress, the link is elitecpcheatsepf.wordpress.com/wordpress/wp-amin/install.php and It still says “Page not Found” or just goes to the home page of the blog elitecpcheatsepf.wordpress.com

    elitecpcheatsepf.wordpress.com !?

You installed in root, or you’ve moved the index.php to make it looks like your install is at root, or you’ve got something causing curious redirects, rewrites. Whatever the case, this works: https://elitecpcheatsepf.wordpress.com/wp-admin

Of course, as esmi notes– *.wordpress.com? Did you get an account at wordpress.com?

I think we are all confused, here. You cannot install the self-hosted version of WordPress over at WordPress.com – over there they host and install the WP software for you, that’s the point of WordPress.com. Can you clarify?

Well, I have an idea that may help, and I really shouldn’t do this, but I am going to give my account details away for the word press log in. I can change my password so no one can get into the account again. If someone will e-mail me at [email moderated], Ask me for the account details, put your site, and your username. Example: “I can help you get wordpress installed. My site is:example.com and my Username is Zoonini.” Thanks everyone for trying to help me out.

no, giving out your account details won’t help because there’s nothing to do.

you created a blog on wordpress.com, so they’re handling all these details for you. just go to link apljdi put up and login to access your dashboard.

From there you can create posts and pages.

What do you mean go to the link apljdi and login to access your dashboard. What is the link?

    Go to this link
    https://elitecpcheatsepf.wordpress.com/wp-admin

Are you using WordPress.com or do you have a hosting and using WordPress there?
