• I have been sorting out some of the crawl errors from Googlebots and most of them were due to the attracta sitemap that i think i finally cleaned from my life.

    However. I have a 404 here
    that is coming from here

I can see it in the code but cannot find it in any post text?

    anyone?

scroll to the bottom of this page: https://tinyurl.com/6ka5gdu

    – click the “older posts” link.

Ahhh, thanks any ideas about what i can do about this?

<edit> for some reason redirects do not work?

That confuses me. The link you gave, https://tinyurl.com/6ka5gdu , takes me to yoursite.com/blog/379/ If i click the older posts link from there, it 404’s.

However, if I simply go to yoursite.com/blog/, then scroll down and click the same link, it’s a completely valid url.

The”/379/” appended to your url seems to be the issue. I’m not sure where that came from.

i’m puzzled too. Googlebots found it. I am not worried a visitor will ever find it.

I will try doing a “remove url” in webmaster tools.

I am mostly puzzled why a 301 does not work?

anyway i will not trip out about it unless it keeps happening.

Most of my problems were from the attracta sitemap and I am glad that is resolved, hopefully.

    thanks
