I cannot create new stores since the new WP version

    Hi,

    I cannot create new stores since the new version of WordPress (6.1) (or the new version of Store Locator, I don’t know).
    When I click on “New store”, I get this error:
    “The editor encountered an unexpected error.”

    Hi there!

    Um, this is weird. These issues seem to be related to the Gutenberg editor, for some reason if you are using the Gutenberg editor for editing your stores (which is the default for WordPress 6), it fails. Have you checked if the same thing happens when you are editing other post types, like regular posts?

    You can also try to change momentarily your theme to one of the default themes that come bundled with WordPress, or even try momentarily disabling the Gutenberg Editor (via the “Classic Editor” plugin), and see if the error persists.

    Hello,

    It does not work with regular post neither.

    However, I tried to copy the website on a staging website and it works on the staging website.
    It’s strange. Can it be due to the htaccess file or something like that?

    Hi again,

    Well, actually the cause for this is hard for me to know. Yes, it could be caused by some misconfiguration of the web server, or something weird in your .htaccess file, but I cannot tell from “the outside”.

    If the website works when copied to a staging hosting, obviously there is something misconfigured in the production site.

    Talk to your hosting provider, as they will probably be able to take a look at the server logs and see if anything is misconfigured there.
