I cannot add media to my pages!

  • Hello. I cannot add media to my pages. When I press the “Add Media” button, the add media window pops up but, the images won’t load and that wheel icon just keeps spinning as if it is trying to load. It does this on Chrome, Firefox, and IE. Also, my images in the medias library will only show up in “list” mode and not in “grid” mode. I tried deactivating all my plugins and clearing the browser cache but, that didn’t do anything. My trucking schools website can be seen here. Please help!

    Have you checked the permissions on your wp-content/upload/ folder? It should be 755.

    I am also having trouble downloading images to media library for my site. I get the message “Missing a temporary folder” no matter what image I try to download. I tried to check the advice from above and I find that I have a folder called \wwwroot\wp-content\uploads but how do I check the permissions? Thank you.

    You should be able to check the file permissions with your hosting file manager or an FTP client.

    @lisapike: It sounds like you are having a very different issue than the original poster. If you want more help with your issue, please make a separate post, as this will help forum folks find your request and deal with its unique issues.
