I can not upgrade from 4.6.2 to 4.7.1 (Auto upgrade stop loading)

I have tried to update several times. The update_core.php screen loads for a while, then simply stops loading without showing any failure or success message. And the core continues with version 4.6.2.
Today I activated WP_DEBUG and noticed in the Nginx logs some errors when trying to update again.

PHP message: PHP Warning: curl_setopt(): Curl option contains invalid characters (\0) in /var/www/wordpress/htdocs/wp-includes/Requests/Transport/cURL.php on line 100

What do I do?
