i can not install the wordpress?

    the erroris this:
    Error establishing a database connection
    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at DB_HOST. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?

    those are the possible options. another possibility is that you never added the user to the database. double check all the settings

    and I am sure I have the correct username, password, hostname, database server, and I added my name to the database.

    Any other ideas?

    either you’re doing something wrong or your host is. contact them, and if that doesn work post back here with some more detail

    I’ve gotten all the variables right…I reaaallly really don’t want to post my wp-config.php file up here in a public place – so how much detail should I post up w/o posting too much?

    btw, just to re-emphisize, my host re-checked the database and the config file and they’re okay

    If you cannot connect to the database – they are not OK ??
    (99.99% of similar cases is a human error: typo, wrong pw etc.)
