• I have just migrated to WordPress 3.2 and I can not delete or add any plugins. The only additional activity that I have done is I have added a subdomain and created a network. Can anyone tell me where I have gone wrong??

    Thanks

    William

    Moving to MultiSite.

Are you trying to add a plugin from wp-admin/network.plugins.php or via a per-site plugin page?

Once you switch to a network, you HAVE to use the network plugin page to upload plugins.

I appreciate the support, I was trying to add plugins per the plugin page.

I do not seem to have a network plugin page. The only network link I have is in the upper left hand corner “Network Admin”.

When I push the “Network Admin” it sends me to my webpage with an Error message “Error 404 – page not found”.

I fear something has gone wrong terribly wrong.

    Thanks

Yes, you need to be able to access network admin to install plugins to the network as a whole.

You could also add the plugins via ftp, but that won’t solve network admin being inaccessible.

Check for /wp-admin/network/ on your server. Are the files there? Does the folder have the same permissions/ownership as the rest of the WP folders?

Did you make BOTH updates to the wp-config.php file and the .htaccess?

There are files there and I can access them through the same tree as I did when I upgrade to a network option.

The Network is under /wp-admin/network/ as you said it would be.

How would I check the permission or ownership?

    Thanks

I am a little slow but I have found the Permission and Ownership:

for the /wp-damin/network/ the permission is adfrw (0644) the ownership 2474568 15000 for the files in the folders.

The WP folders have a different permission flcdmpe (0775) and the ownership is 2474568 15000

    Thanks

make the network folder the same as the others.
