I came back

  • After the problems with Googlebots, I decided to test other plugins. But it seems I did not find the best solution for the moment… So I went back to Bad Behavior – wiht Cookies for comments in complement.

  • There are bots masquerading as Google Bot. In my experience, Bad Behavior rather reliably sorts out the baddies while it lets the actual Google Bot through. A simple whois of the IP should reveal if it’s really Google, or rather some bot from China.
