    HI,

I am trying to setup pixelcat to record a lead if they get to the thank you page. I didn’t know what I was doing and put this in the value area:
    fbq(‘track’, ‘Lead’);

by doing that I broke the plugin and broke the site.

    I am restoring from backup.

But you might want to have more explanation as to what to put in the “value” area so that other people don’t break the plugin by accident.

my fault for breaking the plugin, but just thought you might want to know that if someone puts in a bad value, it breaks the plugin.

I have to abandon this plugin, so sorry as it looked perfect.

I can’t get the plugin to restore, it just shows up blank now.

I will happily buy the pro if it will solve my issue.

I want to have this code:
    < script >
    fbq(‘track’, ‘Lead’);
    < / script >

on certain thank you pages. not site wide.

and I’ll buy the pro if that is what I need

I have not found another plugin

I re installed a backup of my site and now know what I should not do (as it breaks the plugin)

I need to get my Facebook ads up and running ASAP.

I need to have specific thank you pages have additional header code. I tied to setup events with the lead feature. But when I view the source it does not show
    The coded I posted above

I am using Divi on Wpengine
and I put the overall pixel foe Facebook in the header area for Divi

I also set my pixel id number in pixel cat

So when I setup the event in pixel cal for the lead I can find the page in the drip down no problem. But I do t know what values to put In

    Can you help me?

    Hi Christina Hills,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I need to have specific thank you pages have additional header code. I tied to setup events with the lead feature. But when I view the source it does not show
    The coded I posted above

You should be able to use the event builder to have specific thank you pages triggering the “lead” event – https://fatcatapps.com/knowledge-base/pixel-cat-event-builder/

So, you will need to set up 3 events, 1 for each thank you page. You should be able to click on “Page Visit” as the Trigger. Then in “Pages”, you can choose one of your thank you pages from the field. Next in the “Event” field choose “Lead” Then click “Save” for the event and then “Save” for Pixel Cat.

Then to test if the event is working, you can use the Facebook Pixel Helper – https://fatcatapps.com/knowledge-base/testing-facebook-pixel/

and I put the overall pixel foe Facebook in the header area for Divi

You can just use the insert function from Pixel Cat itself in the “Main” tab of Pixel Cat and click “Save” at the bottom to add your Pixel to your site and keep everything together.

I would be concerned that adding the Pixel twice to your site would cause double events.

But I do t know what values to put In

The value is in reference to how much money the lead is worth, this is intended for you to monitor the ROI of your ads.

I hope that helps a little. If there is anything else, don’t hesitate to get back to us.

    All the best.

    Gavin

I’m so sorry I didn’t follow up Sooner

I think my problem was not understanding how this worked and was looking for the wrong thing in the code

Once I had the Facebook pixel helper everything seemed to work

So I’m not having any more problems and I thank you so much foe your help
