• I have (had) a local install of a finished site and mistakenly changed the site url and wordpress address. Now, in my browser, if I put in localhost…/wp-login.php I cannot access my site’s dashboard due to not being able to connect to the local host.

I still have all the files (I used MAMP), but am 1. unsure where I can edit this info in a document itself and 2. what do I need to edit it to to get it back?

Please assist me with getting my site to work locally again without starting over! Thanks!

  • If you launch your Mamp, go to your PHPmyAdmin and locate the database you were using. Navigate to the wp_options table and find the site_url and home. Set them back to what they were and you should be all set.
