I should have never done it: upgrade to version 2.5 . I HAD a working installation, now I have PROBLEMS.

1.: tiny_mce.js does NOT upload to my WP host
2.: prototype.js REFUSES to upload as well. Both files with a timeout.
3.: My editor screens do not show anything else but HTML code editor, NO visual.

Such a drag. Does anyone know why this is not working? Any solution to the questions above is very welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I have probs too, but i’m asking a favour from a friend who knows better in handling these.

My screen capture above where my blog used to be! I had the old version, tried a manual upgrade myself unsuccessfully as my host only has the earlier version, then uninstalled and had to manually delete files, went back to the 2.3 version that my host claims they have but the folder is called 2.5 – now the above comes up instead of the nice interface. Have I deleted too many things or am I suffering a more globalised problem?

I fixed the upload problem by using another FTP client. It did not, however – and I had very mcuh hoped for that – the editor problem. Still no VISUAL in the editor.

try another ftp? I think the timeout issue maybe your host problem instead.

I fixed the editor problem now too, by switching over to Internet Explorer instead of FireFox. My god, that I live to see the day: I must use MicroSoft stuff to be able to properly use an open-source blogeer engine. By Golly…

FF2 kinda suck. I am using FF3 and I am loving it.

I’ll be dipped in HS… Indeed. An upgrade to FF3 solves the editor problem. ThanX for the tip.
