• I was able to login into my account (30 minutes ago). I pasted a code in the “theme functions” section and when i clicked update, my page went Blank. Now I am not able to access my account. When i tried logging in a different Web Browser , i entered my user name and password but tells me my “User name/Password” is wrong. What did I do wrong and how can i access my Admin Login again?

Also, When i click “Lost your password” i typed my email address it said I “wasn’t able to reset password”

  • You seem to have created a problem in your theme. Try switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

esmi’s suggestion will get you going but not fix your theme. I suspect you have pasted in some code which contains a syntax error thus causing the theme to crash. You could use your host’s file manager (possible cpanel) or FTP to find the file where your new code has been stored. Try to identify it by its date stamp. It may be in
/wp-content/themes/ < your theme name > / Either edit the file to remove the code you put in, or upload the original from your theme’s .zip which hopefully you retained on your hard drive.

This is a problem that I encountered a few times when first trying to get up and going with wordpress. I used to contact my hosting company who were able to restore my none corrupted files. Or you could try your error log file?

Guys – let’s get the site back up & running first. Then any issues in the theme can be handled later – especially when we find out what theme was being used.
