I am lost in space…I need Data Base Help

  • I was told I can use Sequel to create a data base and I just don’t know where to go for help.

    You can, but you don’t need to. The WordPress installer creates the database for you. all you need to do is have your database connection details (hostname, database name, username, password) ready when you install. If you don’t have these contact your hosting company and they will be able to get them for you.

    I guess I am not as computer literate as I thought. I guess that is the part where I am lost. The database connection details, How do I set that up, where do I set that up and where do I host it. is there a company that does that sort of thing?

    Look up there in the navigation menu. Click the item named Hosting. It’s as good a place to start as any.

    Dliss, do you gave a control panel via your hosting package (Eg cpanel or Plesk?)

    If you do, there should be an option to create a database there.
