I am looking for an alternative to RSS Multi Importer. Will this work?

    My Site is gwmac.com and I had been extremely happy with Multi Importer until recently. It hasn’t been updated in several months and no longer gets support from the author.

    It allows you to work with multiple RSS feeds and provides both short code to pull and publish snippets based on criteria you set up for example: news, sports, or entertainment feeds after you create categories. It will automatically post and update your feeds with short excerpts.

    It also allows Autopost where you can publish entire articles. I had it set up to save to drafts then I would pick and choose what to publish.

    Is this plugin a good alternative from Multi Importer with the same basic features and functionality? If anyone here switched, I would also appreciate tips to make a smooth transition.

    Our system will allow you to follow multiple RSS feeds and categorize them, seeing all their content and choosing to publish snippets or whole articles. There’s more detailed information in our guide at https://github.com/PressForward/pressforward/wiki

    I haven’t used Multi Importer, so I’m not sure how it would work comparatively in terms of the workflow. However, it sounds like PressForward may indeed work as an alternative.

    If Multi Importer allows you to export an OPML file of your followed feeds, that can easily be imported into PressForward.
