    Hi,

I followed this tutorial to set up the plugin

but I encountered problems with my products. Firstly, the product’s photo disappeared

Secondly, I can’t choose variations to add the product to cart, buttons aren’t working to choose options.

    Please advise what to do.

    Thanks

Would I be able to visit your site (could you provide the URL)?

In the first instance, can you try excluding the page from caching for the variable products. To do this goto Cache >> advanced settings >> URLs to exclude from caching and enter the URL.

If you are stilling having issue with your buttons, can you try turning off the settings for JS minification under Minify >> Javascript and then deactivate merging and then seeing if the issue persists, then do the same for minification.

If neither of the settings under Javascript fix the issue, could you try doing the same for your CSS

    Hi

    Thanks for the reply.

    it’s https://www.test.rawansandart.com

I tried disabling minify option , problem was solved, but this option is vital to keep on I believe to keep site on good speed and performance. I will try your guidance and see.

    Kind regards

I followed your guidance nothing worked except disabling minify altogether.

    Any other suggestions?

I have important question, do I have to keep clicking on “purge cache” every time I make changes? Even deleting a photo or product .

You will need to isolate the script that is being used and add it to minify >> Java Script >> Exclude JavaScript from processing

When you edit a product, a partial preload is done so you should not have to purge cache

    Hi

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by “isolate the script that is being used?” can you give more details please? Also when do I need to click on “purge cache” and purge cache on all pages”?

Dose the caching option work automatically on the plugin?

If you test my site on GTmetrics you’ll see the tips to optimize it. can you tell me how to use the plugin to fix them? Specially that the minify option has caused issues to the variable products.

    thanks

    Hi

I discovered another problem after installing the plugin, in the products section ( at backend) the name of products are written in vertical way which makes it hard to read, what should I do?

Also when you guys asked me to exfoliate this

“In the first instance, can you try excluding the page from caching for the variable products. ?To do this goto Cache >> advanced settings >> *URLs to exclude from caching* and enter the URL.”

do I copy the whole url of each variable product and paste each one in a line?

Under the “URLs to exclude from caching “ box it says “use the wildcard* to exclude child URLs eg /shop/*

so if the variable product url is : https://rawansandart.com/product/the-bear-art-kit/

so how do I write the URl in the “URLs to exclude from caching*” box?

please note although I have the caching option enabled , I have a not from health site saying “you should use a persistent object cache”.

please advise on all these issues .

    Kind Regards

Please see here for a video on finding the JS to exclude from minification: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beu9x8ssqAo&t=0s

For your URL’s to exclude from caching, please enter /product/* under URLs to exclude from caching.

WordPress Optimize doesn’t do Persistent Object Cache, you would need to use a plugin such as Redis for this.

When your products are displayed vertically, is this when you turn on the minification?

What setting in the plugin is triggering it? (if you are unsure can you deactivate the settings and reactivate them one by one until you find the offending one?)

    Hi

The vertical product names happened before I enable minification. Just enabled cache and Optimised images

I deactivated the plugin and deleted it to see if product names are fixed yet, it didn’t.

I also click preload, run now , and I purged cache each time I see files there. I also clicked regenerate in Jetback boost plugin.

If the issue is still here when the plugin is deactivated then the issue is not due to WordPress Optimize. I would try deactivating your other plugins to see if they are the cause.
