I am having a problem with all my plugin submenus

Any submenus when I (or anyone else) logs into the site don’t show up right. If you check the picture above, the menus didn’t use to look like that. I don’t know what the problem is, but besides the change in look, if I were to click on “Add new gallery” I’d get taken to the page to “Upload images.” To access link 1, I have to click on link 2 right below it. Thus I can never access the lowest link. This happens wherever there are these kind of links.

I’m pretty new to WordPress but am quite computer savvy. Can anyone at least point me in the right direction to fix this annoying problem? It is more than just an aesthetics problem.
