• Hi ??

    This is my blog: https://www.memoriesbysharonmallin.com.au/blog

    When I open my blog in Mozilla Firefox – the drop down options under my headings (Pages, Archive, Categories etc) appear.

    When I open my blog through Internet Explorer – they drop down options do not appear at all ??

    Why? Can it be fixed?

    Also – how can I move the search buttong/field … to the LHS?

    Thank you soooo much for your help :))))

    Sharon

    Bump ??

    Is your theme installed correctly? It looks like it is double nested (one folder inside another):

    https://www.memoriesbysharonmallin.com.au/blog/wp-content/themes/Soft%20Tofu/softtofu/

    The Soft%20Tofu (Soft Tofu) directory looks wrong.

    Thanks for replying!

    It was in a main/nested folder – so I deleted the main folder and just had the one parent folder that had the content in it.

    But now – I cant get my blog to appear at all??????

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    OK I got my blog back by reloading the theme file.

    Now what??

    TIA

    That’s better, your theme appears to be properly installed now. Nested theme folders can cause odd problems.

    Try your blog again in IE (you may need to empty the browser cache). I have a Mac (no IE) so your blog looks fine to me. Also test out your theme’s demo on the designer’s site with IE to make sure that the theme itself is compatible with IE:

    The demo theme works on IE on my PC – but not my blog.

    :(((((

    A friend just said that …. pages, archives and categories still don’t work, but my old photo blog and my website do work.

    On my PC none of them work

    :((((((((((((((

    Since it’s just your theme, then there’s something wrong in your code. Although it looks like your header, the affected code is actually your sidebar.

    Speculation: You have so many items in your sidebar list that they don’t all fit on the same line and instead wrap around, which may be causing trouble. I see the following list item in your sidebar code just before the search box, which looks very odd and might be causing spacing problems:

    <li>
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
    </li>

    You may wish to reduce the number of top-level list items so that dropdown items don’t overlap the search form (search form is not below them).

    The blog designers have a new version out of the blog that worked on IE today. SO I might upload that and see ifit works any better.

    I will let you know.
