Hi,
Trying to set up my e-newsletter app delivery option to Amazon SES SMTP servers, I get this error message:
“Not able to use Amazon SES via SMTP cause of the blocked port 587! Please try a different connection, send without SMTP or choose a different delivery method!”
I contacted support at my hosting company. They answered:
“I was able to recreate the issue on my end and I tried to resolve it but to no avail. I could confirm that our 587 port is opened by default on all shared servers like your GrowBig one.
I checked the plugin and I tried to change the SMTP port to 2525 or 25 but was not able to find an option to do this. In this case I would kindly ask you to reach AmazonSES and ask them if it is possible to change the SMTP port to another one as 587 is already opened. Then try changing the port to 25 or 2525 (which is a custom port opened by SiteGround ).”
I have tried to contact Amazon SES. They say:
Thank you for contacting Amazon SES. I have confirmed that your account is active and you should be able to send mail in AWS Region [US East (N. Virginia) OR EU (Ireland) OR US West (Oregon).

Please advice..
Thanks
