I am getting the "domain mapping plugin only works…" error

  • I am building a multisite testbed on my desktop (localhost) and have several sites under ApacheHtdocs. When I try to update_site_option, the data is not getting saved, so I turned on the MU Domain Mapping plugin, only to get the dreaded “The domain mapping plugin only works if the site is installed in” message.

    The site is “https://localhost/multitest/” so it would qualify as not being in “/”.

    How do I work around this without throwing away all of my other sites?

    Is there any way to make this work?
