I followed step by step the wordpress codex to move my wp-sub to my main root. My site now is blank, my subdomain site blank, and I can’t even get into my admin!!!!

    my domain was https://www.bachflower.com/wordpress
the main domaind was https://www.bachflower.com (all html dreamweaver files)

I backed up…. deleted all root files. And begun transfer according to wp codex guide. I did add the /wordpress in the front of index file

    I just need help…

Put everything back the way it was originally first.

Where to start, should I begin by my general setting? Then move to my database and change it back to domain.com/sub? then move OR it just doesn’t matter?

I suggest that you refer to Moving_WordPress and follow those instructions.

You may want to goto your host providers FTP file manager and restore any changes you made today… might be faster and safer than a folder by folder move.

Try to upload an original .htacces file. Sometimes that file causes issues. Also just visit settings>permalinks

This entire process is crasy, I just put everything back in sub, and just redirected the main domain to it by creating a .htaccess in the root that redirects… now main domain goes to the sub site. The only negative is that in the url, we get /wordpress
    https://www.bachflower.com

Once the subfolder install is working again, see Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory.
