I added Facebook Fan box, and lost my entire fb profile.

    Hello:

    Can someone try to explain to me what has happened. I had (past tense) a Facebook profile for my website and Facebook application, when I added the Facebook Fan box; I lost both the profile and application, totally wiped off the face of the earth. What happened?

    There were no configuration adjustments at Facebook; has this happened to anyone else?

    I am totally mystified?

    Under no circumstance should you add both the API code and your Profile id together, within the WP Widget. This must present some sort of an security threat to fb and it invokes this “automatic – preserve fb” reaction. That is my best guess. To get around this, I simply added the profile id only to the widget configuration and things have stabilized.
