I added a new link but it's not showing on webpage

    I added a new link to my links page on Admin. It works on the Admin page but when I check the webpage and reload, it’s not there. I’ve redone this several times and even gone on the Forum, but I find no solution. Please help.

    Have you cleared cache (browser, server, plugin) before viewing edits?

    Also, why are you using an old version of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap. The latest version is 4.6

    I see 3.

    Have you tried:
    -deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    -switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    You are using an old version of WP. You should upgrade as soon as possible to avoid being hacked.

    Thank you for your quick comments. I have updated my old version of WordPress. I had lost my webmaster and didn’t realize how old my version was.
    I have deactivated all the plugins and that didn’t make a difference.
    I have changed links several times and that didn’t make any difference.

    In comparing the links, I see that the others on my link page begins with http whereas this new link is https. Would that make a difference?
    Anything else?

    Are you using https or http on your site?

    I tried both the http and https and neither made a difference

    The link you provided indicate you are using http, NOT https

    OK thank you all for your comments. I figured it out this morning. I see that the link was posted in my Blog Roll but not on my Links Page. I had to go into the Links page itself and include the writeup and hyperlink. And now it works great! It was through all your comments that I was led to the path of figuring it out. Thank you!
