• Hello,

Very stupid, but while cleaning unused database I also accidentally deleted a database that is still in use. Of this, to my knowledge, I have not made a backup.

It was a WordPress website created Elementor. Is there any way to recover the website, for example to run the setup again? Or are all elementor pages now also gone?

I hope there is still a solution to this, even if something can be recovered. i just hope it has not become completely unusable now.

    Thanks in advance,

    kind regards,
    Stan Rutten

  • You will need to contact your web host. The database stores all information used by WordPress and without it you have no way of recovering the site.

Understandable, that really sucks then. I contacted my hosting provider but I don’t think they’re able to do so.

Are there maybe options you know of to recover as much as possible?

Unfortunately, the site has never been archived by the wayback machine. So, unless your host has a backup, it’s gone.

The webhost just told me they have no way recovering the database, which I think is really absurd. I guess then the website is just completely gone. damn this sucks.
