    Hey there Bennie Naude,

    How are you doing today?

I did a quick test by adding link in the popup content and everything worked properly, please see video here https://screencast.com/t/13CMu9mUA.

Can you please let me know how exactly are you adding link to popup content?

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Thanks Bojan

I add the hyperlink via the standard WordPress hyperlink function, as I edit the popup. The htlm that is created is:

    Which is correct.

When I click on the link via the popup, it tries to navigate to https://www.deepliving.com/%22https://www.deepliving.com/resources/%22

This link is INCORRECT, i.e. the popup adds some additional text to it, making it invalid.

Your video only showed the link being DISPLAYED, but not that it actually works when you click it; in my case, it also DISPLAYS fine (i.e. the hyperlink TEXT is fine, but the underlying LINK is incorrect).

I much appreciate your help in resolving this, thanks!

    Hey Bennie,

When I was making the video I double checked the URL that is displayed in the bottom of the browser so it didn’t show properly, I’ve made another one https://screencast.com/t/KfFyCvhu7G.

When you add this can you please check the Text editor in popup page in admin to see if the URL is correct there and try to edit it if it is not.

    Please let me know ??

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    Thank you Bojan

I copied the html from the popup in my last reply to you. If you scroll up, where it says ‘click here for additional resources’ – that is copied from the popup. It is correct, and works 100%, when applied outside the popup.

When applied via the popup, the popup adds additional html in front, which makes it invalid – exactly as I explained in my first post.

I’ve now recorded it here: https://screencast.com/t/jhZw8E8CvDp

I’d much appreciate your support in resolving this,
    Thanks

    Hey Bennie,

I understand the issue, can you please use the Text editor to see how does the link look like in HTML https://screencast.com/t/qTg6WNXk8C.

If it is not please try editing it in text editor and checking for changes again.

    Please let me know.

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    Hey Bennie,

Everything looks fine there, can you please try testing for conflicts to see if one of the plugins or your theme is conflicting with WordPress PopUp. To do that please try using default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen and deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.

Please let me know if you find anything ??

    Cheers,

    Thanks Bojan,

I only have plugins installed that I need; so even if I did find one that conflicted with yours, I’d not want to deactivate it.

I’ve found another pop-up plugin that works fine and will use that one instead.

Many thanks for your help and best wishes
    Bennie

    Hey Bennie,

Fair enough, I can understand that ??

This is just a standard troubleshooting flow. Once we pin point the plugin for example we can further investigate this and possibly fix in one of the updates, this is why I’ve asked you to test this so we know where to look.

    Have a nice day!

    Cheers,
    Bojan
