    Hi,

Recently I installed FluentCRM to send campaign emails and I found that the hyperlinks that I added to the email, such as button or text that with links, works perfectly when it’s sent as “test email”, however, when the campaign email is sent formally to my subscribers, I found that hyperlinks are altered to my main domain with parameters added by FluentCRM.

For example, I have 2 buttons in this email.
    1. the first one is the linkage to my Discord group
    2. the second one is the linkage to my another site, which is a subdomain like sub.MyDomain.com

When I sent the test email, I can see the links are correct and I can click them to reach the DC group and the subdomain site.

When I sent it formally, the linkages are altered to:
    1. https://www. mydomain .com/?ns_url=255u&mid=67&fch=ae5af589 for the 1st button
    2. https://www. mydomain .com/?ns_url=255v&mid=67&fch=ae5af589 for the 2nd button

Don’t know what have I missed during setup or is the hyperlink feature is not provided in FREE version?

Earlier I reported same issue in FluentSMTP support forum but I recalled that there is no such issue with “Send a test email” in FluentCRM so I reported it again here.

    Thanks for your time.

    Best,
    Feng

    Hello @fengyintseng,

I understand that you are facing an issue with hyperlinks in your campaign emails being altered when sent formally.

This is a default behavior in FluentCRM. During test emails, the URLs are not processed, so you see the original links as placed. However, when a campaign is sent formally, the links are processed and URL parameters are added to track email opens and link clicks.

These URL parameters help you track the stats of your campaign, such as how many people opened the email and clicked on the links. This information can be valuable for optimizing your email campaigns and understanding the effectiveness of your content. So this is okay and users will eventually be redirected to the original link you placed in the email.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hi @ibrahimsharif ,

But the issue I encountered is when I click on the button in the formal campaign email it directs me to my Main Domain instead of the links that I specified originally.

I tried several times to confirm the behavior and still cannot figure out why it won’t redirect me to the link I set in the email.

    Hi @ibrahimsharif ,

Please check screenshot https://d.pr/i/EH83Ai it’s the link I placed in the email, it’s to direct my audience to Contact page of my site. It shows correctly when I check the email in FluentCRM.

And check screenshot https://d.pr/i/rxWRMB it’s the Email Log from FluentSMTP for the email I sent out formally via FluentCRM. One can see that the link is altered and unable to reach Contact page of my site.

Also, check screenshot https://d.pr/i/dEyJ97 it’s the Email Log from FluentSMTP for a testing email via FluentCRM. One can see that the link is correct for testing email.

When I checked the emails in the Mail Box, I noticed a strange behavior.

    1. Click the link in the testing email from
      • Mobile device: it directs me to Contact page correctly
      • Desktop: it directs me to Contact page correctly
      • Desktop (private mode, another browser): it directs me to Contact page correctly
    2. Click the link in the formal email from
      • Mobile device: it directs me to Home page with parameters by FluentCRM, which is not right
      • Desktop: it directs me to Contact page correctly (I think it carries the cookies when I design campaign email in FluentCRM)
      • Desktop (private mode, another browser): it directs me to Home page with parameters by FluentCRM, which is not right

It means that the actual results observed from the recipient in their mailbox also matched the Email Logs from FluentSMTP addressed in above screenshots.
