Hyperlink in subject with {Title} tag

When I put the {Title} tag in the subject line(it’s there by default), I get the title in a hyperlink. It is rather obnoxious to start the subject off with <a href=”” etc..has anyone else had this problem?
I’m fairly certain it hasn’t always been like this.
