Hyperlink does not work

    I’ve tried installing wysiwyg plugins and they have not worked. I deleted the plugins. Now, I can’t use the hyperlink. When I highlight the text and click on the hyperlink button a blank box opens up – the box floats around the page following my cursor. I can’t write in it and I can’t do anything else on the page. Can’t even close it. I attempted to upgrade my version of wordpress but I don’t think I did anything. I still have the same version. I thought if I upgraded I might fix that problem. Please help. I need hyperlinks. Thank you.

    I narrowed the problem down to my browser – Firefox. When I went on another computer the link box worked. So I thought maybe it was a popup problem. I enabled popups and I still have the same problem. I then tried using Internet Explorer and the link box works just fine. Thank you.
