Hybrid parent & child theme question on customization

  • Hey All,

    so after some initial troubles with a different theme i opted to download the Hybrid parent theme and have chosen the structure child theme. The installation went well with no troubles however i now have a “notice” error on my page when i go to customize all the options:

    Notice: hybrid_after_entry is deprecated since version 1.0.0! Use do_atomic( ‘after_entry’ ) instead. in /home/a7206129/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2638

    I checked the functions php file i downloaded in both the parent and child themes, and neither are long enough to even include that many lines (2638).. so wondering what i need to do to rectify whatever the error is??

    Any help would be appreciated- im a wordpress newbie and didnt feel like shelling out $25 or so to get my answer on the Hybrid specific forum. I searched this forum and found a fair few discussions on Hybrid but nothing specific to my error i think.

    is your site loading fine or do you get any errors on the frontend?

    seems like you downloaded an older version of the hybrid theme. pls you can see your current version in the style.css header

    When i load my site on the front end i get the same error duplicated a few times on the site homepage yeah.

    I checked the versions i download.. the parent hybrid theme is version 1.1 and the child theme is 2.1
