• I was wondering if anyone knows how to make the masthead/logo a hyperlink using the Hybrid News theme.

**I know there is a support forum dedicated to Justin Tadlock’s themes, but it seems a little backhanded to me to give themes away for free only to turn around and charge for support forum access.

I suppose I could hunt for food, take baths in the pond down the road, and use my neighbor’s Internet for posting free themes online.

At least your road has a pond… ??

Yes, that Tadlock is a real jerk. I think you may have a valid lawsuit for damages. If he is giving away themes for free then I think he would be liable for any expenses one may have to incur to customize them to their liking. If you want, I can contact him and try to negotiate a settlement. I am experienced in this type of litigation and will work for you pro bono. And after a settlement is reached, you will have some money to use on important things. At that point, if I have time I could probably work on the theme for you, pro bono of course!

To answer the original question though, this page will answer everything you ever need to know about it:

I could also go fishing while bathing. ??

Flashbuddy (and fellow trolls), please don’t feed off of or misinterpret what I say. I have no problem with developers making money off of their work and I have no problem paying for it, but I would much rather pay upfront for a wordpress theme and not have to pay for subsequent access to a support forum.

In this case, my client already had a website with this theme installed before I was hired, so I’m rather hesitant to pay $25 to access a forum just to have a question answered. Honestly, I’d pay $100 for a theme if I knew there was an awesome (and free) support forum attached to it.

You could always see if your client is willing to either change the theme or pay the support costs. It is unreasonable to expect everything for free and it is not our place to deprive theme developers of any income that they may derive from support services.
