I tested Woocommerce on one of my websites but then uninstalled it.

I have just visited the comments section of my site and I can see hundreds of comments have been posted under the following terms.

    ActionScheduler
    0 approved
    action complete

    woocommerce_run_update_callback
    2
    2 comments

A quick search of the term ‘woocommerce_run_update_callback’ reveals many websites whose contact or other pages are also filled with hundreds of auto-generated woocommerce actioned comments.

Here’s one example (scroll down page) https://www.shazasidhu.com/contact-2/

Can someone explain what is happening here please?

    Hi there @studio500

These should not be posted as comments on a site – these are action scheduler comments.

I’m really unsure why they are being posted as comments on the site.

If you are seeing this with only WooCommerce active and no other plugins, please do let us know.

    Thanks,

    Hi @studio500

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Thanks,

I am seeing this problem right now after the 5.2.1 Update of WP_Core. So far the woocommerce_run_update_callback has run approximately 226 Scheduled Actions of nothing that I can see on the surface. It seems to be a continuous loop that just keeps running. Is this what is supposed to be happening and why is it happening?

I am experiencing something similar. Is it safe to delete these? There are about 600 in my case.

I’ve got over 6,000 on my site, from the end of May when I uninstalled WooCommerce.

I’m having the same issue. did anyone figure out how to stop it? I dont wanna go through and delete 2000 for them to be back tomorrow?

Mostly it happends when woocommerce is unistalled. It leaves a ton of garbage behind it and we shoudl do cleaning by ourselves doing cleaning of database. Same happends with Jetpack and some plugins like Woocommerce Follow-Ups and Woocommerce Subscriptions are quite badly coded too.

First you should find out woocommerce and jetpack based crons and kill them. Use Crontrol. Then you should shut down ActionScheduler and the fastest way is install a plugin via this https://github.com/woocommerce/action-scheduler-disable-default-runner (that is by Automattic btw, but they don’t advertise it too much). Then you have to kill manually all those comments. Use WP-CLI if you are in VPS and all others will use some mass delete plugin.
