• I have literally 800 emails sitting in my inbox because ever since last night I have gotten an unending stream of emails that say database backup but have nothing attached. I have no idea what to do to stop this.

  • Hello,

I’m also having this very same issue ever since a few days ago, after I migrated my site from local to a shared hosting server. Apparently my site’s issue is due to a path that did not update during the migration process.

The directory supplied in Backup Location cannot be used as a valid directory. The directory /srv/http/wp-content/uploads/ithemes-security/backups could not be created due to an unknown error. This could be due to a permissions issue.

Now, I can’t find where to correct this path anywhere in the settings.

    Hoping for a reply,
    Javier

I’ve got the same issue on 2 sites. I’ve resorted to disabling file backups temporarily.

No file permissions have been changed at all.

Also, on some other sites I had issues switching from instant lockout notifications to a daily digest. When saving, I got a failure notice and part of it said ‘This could be due to a permissions issue’.

    Best,
    Adam
